In Health and Social Care lessons, our young people have been taking part in RevivR CPR training, learning vital lifesaving skills including how to respond to a cardiac arrest, perform chest compressions, use a defibrillator, and call the emergency services with confidence.
Alongside this, students have been exploring how the heart works, developing their understanding of human anatomy. They’ve also been practising practical skills such as taking blood pressure using a monitor and analysing BPM readings using scatter graphs.
These valuable life skills support their learning as they work towards components of the Health and Social Care BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2.
Learning that could one day help save a life.❤️
