Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Based near Whitchurch, north Shropshire, SY13. Travel is Required as part of the role between 5 closely located Physis sites. A company van is provided.
Salary: £25,000 -28,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time. 40 hours per week, weekdays, with flexibility required to attend to emergency call-outs during nights / weekends.
Contract: Permanent; Full Time (52 weeks)

Experience and qualifications:
Full UK Driving license
Capability of working to a very high standard.
Ability to work as part of a team, take direction and communicate effectively.
Experience in a facilities / maintenance role.
Ability to perform repair work, painting, gardening and other maintenance duties.
Ability to use tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to a maintenance role.

The post holder will:
Ensure high-quality premises by providing wide ranging maintenance and decorating services.
Ensure all sites within Physis are always safe for both our young people and colleagues.
Work with the Compliance Manager to oversee contracts/contractors to ensure compliance and value for money, working to agreed time frames, linked to property development for all projects.
As required act as ‘Competent Person’ for Health & safety ensuring, all legislation and compliance requirements are met e.g. Fire safety checks.
Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Any unspent conviction/cautions should be declared at the point of application. Any adult cautions (simple or conditional) or spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 should also be declared.
