Salary: £30,250 - £33,000 per annum
Hours: Shift Pattern [15.5 hours per shift]
Contract: Permanent; Full Time
This really is an exciting opportunity to join the Physis Team as a Shift Deputy Manager. Physis Care offer comprehensive residential care, education and therapy to children and young people who have experienced or are at high risk of exploitation.
Our dedicated staff team offer therapeutic and nurturing support to empower young people to maximise their opportunities and aspirations.

Plus additional £65 per night sleep-in payments which could increase your salary by an additional £3,000- £4,000 per year.

About you…
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the Deputy Manager include -
Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential (Level 5 preferred).
Driver’s licence
Experience of working with children with complex needs within a residential setting
What’s Involved?
To know, understand & implement the Physis Model of Therapeutic Care to provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.
To work under the direction of the Registered Manager (RM) to ensure Physis service delivery objectives are met, and to deputise for him/her as and when required.
To be the responsible decision maker and provide leadership and management of all aspects of the Registered Children’s home ensuring all Regulations and Policies are met, in the absence of the RM.
At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
To act as an ambassador for the organisation and ensure effective partnership working within the organisation and with external agencies.
Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Any unspent conviction/cautions should be declared at the point of application. Any adult cautions (simple or conditional) or spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 should also be declared.
