Training Lead

  • Location: North Shropshire. Limited travel between Physis sites to deliver training will be required as part of the role.

  • Hours of work: Full-time | Monday – Friday (40hrs)

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

  • Contract: Permanent

The role of Training Lead: (please request job description for extensive duties)

  • To be responsible for the training and development of all employees, ensuring statutory regulations are met and employees develop professionally.

  • To design and write, source, or allocate training as required, to meet the needs of the business and individuals.

  • To be responsible for accurately recording all training, ensuring that records withstand the scrutiny of Ofsted and that employees’ training does not expire.

  • To work under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner to ensure efficient and timely Induction training, the provision of routes to obtain industry required qualifications and professional development.

  • At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.

  • To know, implement, and model the Physis Model of Therapeutic Care to ensure that employees provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of children.

Experience and qualifications you will have: (please refer to job description & person specification for full requirements)

  • Experience of leading & recording training compliance at a company level,

  • Nationally recognised training in related fields of knowledge, e.g. CSE, Train the Trainer, PRICE, PACE etc,

  • Previous experience as an Assessor of Residential Childcare qualifications, or Education qualifications,

  • Relevant experience of delivering training in residential childcare, or school settings.

  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Standards for residential childcare, or Ofsted regulations,

  • Experience of writing and delivering training modules in Residential Child Care, or Education setting,

  • Experience of managing a budget and ensuring value for money when providing training services,

  • Experience and confidence in delivering engaging & accurate training to employees.
